Imo, if Detroit traded for Green, it would look something like this:

To DET: Green, 2nd 2015
To WAS: Tatar

Reasoning: Green has a big cap hit (albeit for only one season) so the pick makes up for taking on cash. Plus Washington gets a good player in return. Alternatively, Abdelkater goes the other way and since he is a bottom-6 player (which might actually be more beneficial for WAS anyway) the 2nd becomes a 3rd or 4th instead.
