This trade might work if the following occurs by the 2015 trade deadline. (WNP and TOR)

1. Pavalec continues to struggle and posts poor save %.
2. Riemer continues to post good save %
3. Toronto's defence prospect Granberg continues to play well in the NHL.
4. If E. Kane still wants out of WNP.

TOR: Franson, Riemer, 3rd rd pick
WNP: E. Kane

I think it is a plausible offer if those 4 conditions are met.

I distinctly remember posting this exact trade a week ago. The only difference is that I was flooded with negative comments and many unbelievable clicks. I still hope the trade happens though

Why on earth do leaf fans hate Franson, I just don't get it. This trade is believable since Pavalec will blow it and Reimer to WPG this year makes sense but boy do the Jets when this deal. They get a starting goalie in Reimer and a top 4 d-man in Franson. Not to mention the drama with Kane is gone and he's in the other conference. Leafs need a 6th d-man in return and Percy and Granberg are far from ready.

Perhaps Franson, Reimer, and a 3rd Pick (2016) for Kane and Pardy could work. The leafs shouldn't pursue Kane.

@bernimac I think you didn't outline those conditions cause they are key to that trade. If pavelec plays well there's no way the pick up riemer

Kane is worth more than that c'mon franson is a 4/5dmen and reimer is a good back up goalie and the 3rd isn't much

How does this get so many believables?? this is horrible value for Kane and Wpg would never take this, beacuase soo many other teams would offer a lot more, this is essentially a 2nd, 3rd and 4th round draft pick. yeeesh

If kane continues to act the way he does, his value goes down. No one wants a guy like him on the team, luckily he's a good player which actually attracts teams. Also, with all those conditions I think this would be possible

Acting what way? Acting sick and tired of being asked the same stupid questions every time he's in an interview, I don't blame the guy! Kane will play with Shieffle and Wheeler next year and light it up and everyone be offering 10 times these ridiculous offers. book it
