I like it, but I think if Buffalo is trading Myers it will not be without acquiring a 1st round pick. Jurco, Smith and a 1st for Myers and a prospect Baptiste or Carrier maybe.

A lot of quality young talent going to Buffalo for Myers. Don't see Detroit coughin up that much youth for one player. This one favours Buffalo and looks a tad unbelievable.

Very interesting! IMO Jurco and Smith certainly fill two of three of Tim Murrays wishes. Jurco has been mentioned as a component of the trade. Smith could be the mid 20 player contemplated (but so far in his career he has not lived up to expectations) and could be a project for Gorges. Anderson really does not improve the Sabres so why trade for him. Here is a counter Myers and 2nd (NYI) for Jurco; Smith and 1st.

BUF trades Tyler Myers & William Carrier to DET for Tomas Jurco, Brendan Smith and a 1st.
BUF then signs Micheal Del Zotto, and Sami Salo. Salo and Gorges could be the mentors for Del Zotto and Brendan Smith (24 and 25 years old). Finally, these D-men could help BUF keep the kids down on the farm to develop that winning attitude instead of playing for a last place team.
