BUF signs Micheal Del Zotto then makes the following series of trades
Tyler Myers to DET for Tomas Tatar ($2,750,000), Stephen Weiss (a salary dump) & 1st.
Stephen Weiss ($4,900,000/4 yr retain 25% = $1,225,000) & Phil Varone (Rochester Amerks top scorer) to EDM for Jeff Petry. This trade was posted earlier with the suggestion that a prospect had to be added with Weiss.
Tomas Tatar ($2,750,000) & Jeff Petry ($3,075,000/1 yr retain 50% = $1,537,500) to PHI for Vincent Lecavalier ($4,500,000) & 1st. PHI is looking for a young LW, D-man and to dump Vincent Lecavalier salary.
Vincent Lecavalier ($4,500,000/4 yr retain 25% = $1,125,000) & Luke Adam (Rochester Amerks top goal scorer) to NAS for Jack Dougherty (51st pick in 2014 draft) & 2015 3rd. Vincent Lecavalier is reunite with Laviolette for 2nd & 3rd picks
all of the above trades were previously posted but none of them had the salary retentions and all received at least 2/3 believable. Have fun shooting holes in these proposals. all of the trades assume the players will accept the locations.

If Tim Murray got his hands on Tatar, a young top 6 forward on a reasonable contract for the next 3 years, why would you trade him when he could be a key piece in your rebuild?

That wouldn't get you Petry and that's an overpayment to get Lecavier and a 1st

Thanks for all of the feedback. I really do appreciate the comments. I guess my goal in the trades to acquire draft picks and prospects but this is only a game and Murray is doing a good job thus far.
