With 7 players (Myers, McCormick, Gionta, Hodgson, Ennis, Moulson & Gorges) signed for the next 3 to 5 years, and Pysyk, Ristolainen, Girgensons & Ullmark not among the 8 future Sabres in the ESPN top 100 NHL prospects it makes players as Stafford, Stewart, Foligno, Enroth, Weber & Mitchell very expendable and should be traded as soon as possible for picks, prospects, players or future considerations. IMO Murray should sign Dustin Penner, Devin Setoguchi, Andrei Loktionov, Jamie McBain & Raphael Diaz, as place holders until the kids are ready (at the trading deadline maybe they also could be moved for future assests).
MTL needs: One top six forward, one top four defencemen, three more defencemen.
Stewart (retain 50%) and Weber to MTL for 2nd & 3rd 2015
BOS needs: One top line forward, backup goaltender.
Stafford (retain 50%), Jhonas Enroth to BOS for 2nd & 3rd 2015
TML needs: Three top nine forwards, depth forwards, one top pair defenceman
Foligno, Flynn & Mitchell to TML for 2nd 2016 and 3rd 2015 and maybe David Clarkson for cap relief
I welcome constructive feedback if you believe this to be unbelievable.

First off all toronto doesn't need anything at all for their bottom 6. At all. They already have too much as it is. However, I would do that move in a heart beat just to get rid of Clarkson.

Here you are willing to take a really bad trade for the Leafs "to get rid of Clarkson", but in your SJS - TML trade proposal above you're talking about Clarkson as if he'd be a Corey Perry-like power forward.

Buffalo could and will get way more for stewart alone, he's around 26 years old , power forward , can score , fight, and hurt the opposition's defencemen. Habs fans really need to start to value players that don't wear a habs jersey properly.

We don't need a backup goalie here in Boston. We have Johnson for now and subban in the system coming up.

Stammer2Leafs2016 thanks for the feedback. I felt the TML portion of the trade was weak, I should not have included it as part of the package. David Clarkson has a horrible contract and has not performed up to expectations, but he may add to the veteran leadership that Gionta and Gorges will bring to the SBR. Most important, Murray gets 6 more picks to continue the development of the SBR. Always welcome feedback.

As a habs fan I would love to have stewart in mtl but we don't need any defenceman we already have beaulieu and tinordi battling for the last spot

SBR trades Stewart (retain 50%) and Weber to MTL for Beaulieu. Weber competes for the last D-man spot, Stewart plays on the top line.

BUF trades Torrey Mitchell to TML for 3rd 2015, 2nd 2016 & David Clarkson. TML makes this trade to dump Clarkson salary, thank you very much. SBR makes this trade to get some grit (after loosing Scott), veteran leadership & picks to help build the team.

I just want to thank you for even considering taking clarkson(6 more years) off the leafs hands but he's not going anywhere yet.i don't know why you think toronto needs 3 top 9 forwards.toronto needs a top 9 center and someone too play with phaneuf that's it.
