Oilers: yak + marnicin + Schultz
Sabres: Myers + Hodgson

Oilers get a d-man and centreman. Sabres get a lot of young potential. They are rebuilding.

Oilers need to resign Petry.

Oilers finish 29 or 30 and pick Mcdavid or eichel

Klefbom or nurse make it to NHL. I prefer klefbom. Nurse to AHL for 1 season

Oilers need to work on signing during free agency a goalie (niemi) + d-man (many options: sekera/green/boychuk/erhoff/oduya)
+ big winger (glencross/stafford/Williams/Stewart)

Edmonton adds a cap dump, Nikitin? Either way I like the trade. If both Yak & Myers return to expected performance levels it is a win/win.

Does the cap work? Myers and Hodgson add almost $10MM, but to the trade. As a previous trade suggested yak + marnicin = Myers
Edmontan would have to add because:
Schultz +? = Hodgson
Maybe a cap dump, Nikitin or Ference?

I do love if they traded one or even both Ference or Nikitin. The reason I like Ference is that he has some grit. Is it possible to trade one of them? I think it is difficult. Maybe nikitin because he only has one year left on his contract and oilers can retain 10%. But knowing the oilers, they signed him to contract and now they don't want to show the world that they made another mistake.

I like the idea of taking Nikitin. He could be paired with Zaderov, & Yakupov could be paired with Grigorenko. If you let your imagination run wild, what if Zaderov could teach Nikitin to body check. What an awesome site 2-230 lb defencemen bouncing player into the boards. And what if Yak and Grigs developed that Russian chemistry, that would be too cool.
