Report: Vancouver pushing hard for Kane.

To WPG:

F Jake Virtanen (6th overall 2014)
F Zach Kassian (Potential to be a Milan Lucic)
1st 2015 (16-20 pick)
3rd 2015 (76-80 pick)

To VAN:
F Evander Kane (Out until next season)
F Michael Frolik (Better option than Kassian this season)

Kane is from Vancouver and has wanted out of WPG for a while. Going through with the surgery proves he will be on a different team come october.

Kassian in no way will ever come close to being a "Lucic". at best he will approach Chris Neil.

The Canucks aren't giving up Virtanen, JB has already stated he could make the NHL next year. He's already stated that we aren't giving up a draft pick, especially a high one. Plus the fact that NYR has our 3rd this year.

This leaves Kassian. You definitely won't get both Frolik AND Kane or even Kane by himself. You might have a fair deal with just Frolik, but I'm fairly sure that's not what Benning wants for Kassian.

Kane isn't worth giving up horvat, virtanen or McCann. He has health issues and personality issues. He scored 20 goals once. He also isn't worth that much. They can have lack and kassian For kane but no one else or a draft pick.

Kane has low value right know due to injury so until he can come back and play well I doubt he gets traded for anything more then a draft pick
