How does this help Toronto? Carter would be a good addition to any team but how does he help a rebuilding team like the leafs? I agree a cap dump would have to back the other way for Kessel but I imagine they would want someone younger then carter and rather have a package of younger players/prospects and picks.

why does either team do this?? not saying its a bad deal, but ill say it anyways, its a bad deal for the leafs because they are rebuilding and carter doesn't help that at all and it is bad for the kings because he is integral to L.A.s success on and off the ice yes kessel would help the scoring but they have gaborik (not as good as kessel) who is pretty much the same player who puts up less points so wouldn't u give up gaborik in the deal, also it doesn't help the leafs rebuilding process at all yes great the 13th pick, but tthey get carter and richards who will both go into the line up and improve the team (sad to say lol)

The 13th Overall Pick 2015 is the rebuild part.
Do you people understand this is a very special Draft year, we might not see this much talent in one Draft for another 20yrs or more, its that deep of a Draft.

You admit its a very deep draft, yet you and your cronies keep posting toss-away proposals of quantity (but not quality) in exchange for top-5 picks. Clearly it doesn't work that way.
