Purcell to panthers for a 3rd

Tough deal for chiarelli, but doubt Purcell resigns in Edm for less than 3 a year.

If Schultz goes to Detroit I'll be summm pissed. I'm more than happy with his so called Consolation prize Dekeyser. I think Kindl is better in his zone than Schultz. And he's gone now.

The Teddy Purcell trade to the Florida Panthers is not official due to the 3rd round pick the Panthers tried to send to the Edmonton Oilers was already traded to the New Jersey Devils in the Jaromir Jagr trade.
The issue is that it's a conditional pick, New Jersey gets the higher of the Panthers 3rd or the Wilds 3rd.

The Panthers can't trade either pick because they don't know which goes to the Devils.

I didn't mind Purcell as a player. Not a fan of his contract value however. He had more to show us.
I doubt Edm going to turn that 3rd round pick into a top six forward; that's why I felt it was a tough deal.
