Toronto Trades
Lupul

Calgary Trades
Wideman

Each Team gets rid of there headache.

Toronto needs a RHanded shooting Vet DMan.

Calgary needs a Vet RWinger that can score some.

Contracts are basically the same.

Thoughts?

I wish Lupul has 3 years left Wideman has 1 Calgary wouldn't do that.

I actually read

Tor lupal
Ott methot

Kinda just a change for both players.

No from Calgary. Lupul has term.

what are you guys thinking?

lupul for wideman is bad, no way CGY woudl do it - wideman is at least useful.

lupul for methot; are you crazy? i don't think this needs to be justified.

Not sure if Lupol gets traded, hearing he might not play next year.

Methot don't need a change he's playing pretty good not great but good enough and he's a hometown guy don't think he even wants a change. As for lupul I value a bucket of pucks more than I value him he has a terrible contract and the guy gets injured more than any other player. I know Ottawa wants a winger but that wouldn't be a guy they want pretty sure their looking for a young skilled winger like yak drouin or nichushkin all would be great additions and probably could acquire them without breaking the bank.

My guess is if Lupul was in Calgary and Wideman with the Leafs and I proposed this deal most would still say Calgary says no.
Get what I am saying Leaf bashers.
Lupul and Wideman are very comparable with Games Played, Points, +-, etc.
BB liked Lupul a lot when he was the GM in Toronto and believe he would agree on this deal.
Believe me the Flames want to Trade Wideman and its even with Contracts but yes Lupul has one extra year, so the Leafs throw in a 6th Round Pick to make all of you happy.
I still say its a good headache deal to help both Teams.

I didn't suggest the trade I don't think lupal is a tradable asset I read the trade that a insider put it out on a site.

Even if Lupul's salary was retained 50%, I wouldn't want him on my team.

Definite no from Ottawa. Defense is worth more to them than Lupul's offense.

Lupul is useless. He plays like 10 games a year and then a strong wind shatters his bones. Wideman at least plays and is decent in spite of his hefty price tag. Heard the Oilers might actually have interest in him. I'd rather they chase Vatanen but Wideman would be alright.

Are you delusional Chirp?
Calgary will not make a Trade with Edmonton unless its a AHL type player.

This requires breaking down because Pinball has marbles in his head.

I said I'd heard the Oilers might have interest in Wideman. This is a fact. It is a fact that I read that on Twitter as posted by someone who spends far more time around Oilers players and executives than you or I. Did I say they are trading with one another? Nope. You took that from my post because your brain doesn't work properly, but I never said that. Also, if Wideman is a headache in Calgary, why would they not do a trade with Edmonton if it allows them to rid of his contract? Better a trade with Edmonton than taking on a lifetime of LTIR with Mr Glass (Lupul) . And you're calling me delusional? How do you dress yourself in the morning? Grab a clue.

Hahahahahahaha @Chirp, Good breakdown. Not sure he would even understand that. But that's very kind of you to do that for him.

Leafs wouldn't trade with Ottawa like Calgary wouldn't trade with Edmonton. Are you delusional?

And finally for all those who say Lupul is hurt all the time and never plays in the last 3 years here are the games played between Lupul and Wideman.

Lupul 170 games
Wideman 177 games

Thats only 7 games more so that statement doesn't make sense.

I like how you didn't take into account a 20 game suspension Wideman was given this season, nor the severity and number of injuries. Wideman missed a total of 32 games this year, 20 from suspension and 12 from a season-ending tricep injury. That's 32 games, but only 1 injury. Lupul has had 10 (TEN! ) injuries since joining the leafs in 2012 and has missed an entire season worth of games (that's 82 games in case you don't watch hockey, Pinball) and 184 days total. And that's just during his time with the leafs leading up to Feb 2015. I'm not a fool and realize it wasn't accidental to leave out specifics in your post. Nice spin-doctoring. Unfortunately for you I am smarter than you so your convenient comparison numbers are a joke, just like Lupul's ability to remain healthy.
