I got a couple of free agent pick ups and one trade I think works:
Free agents:
Brian Campbell to Edmonton
Dan Hamhuis to Toronto (Captain)
Christian Ehrhoff to Anaheim
Milan Lucic to Vancouver
Reimer back to Toronto
Cam Ward to San Jose
Eric Staal to Toronto
Stamkos to Buffalo

Trade:
Vancouver trades Edler, Boeser, 5th overall, and 2017 2nd to San Jose for Brent Burns.

Now I know it may not make sense but San Jose gets a defensemen back plus a prospect and 2 picks and Vancouver gets a very good defensemen that can play offense very well.

Staal will sign with a contender, Chiarelli will not go near a 5'10, 37 year old d-man, the Brent Burns trade is a little of an overpayment with the Canucks, Burns will be 33 and a UFA next year and Brock Boeser is an absolute solid prospect, don't know if N. Dakota would have won the NCAA championship without him, and the 5th gets you either a potential cornerstone d-man or an elite LW or C.

Ehrhoff will probs either retire or play oversees next year. He had a miserable campaign last year.

Lol. Brian Campbell choosing Edmonton is way more a realistic of an idea than Hamhuis choosing Toronto.
I don't think Edmonton would even want Campbell.

No way from Vancouver. Wouldn't trade Boeser alone for 32 or 33 year old Burns.
