Avs get a quality top 6 forward and a good developing dman in Klefbom and the oilers get a right handed shot who can play top minutes and can also play QB on the PP.

IMO Oilers wouldn't do one of Nuge or Klef for Barrie, so both is just insulting. Todd likes having more centres than needed, and going into next season with 97 and Drai is a recipe for disaster. Drai is not proven enough, Nuge is a better player right now.
Klefbom is signed long term about $2mil less than what Barrie will get, so that's an easy no from the Oilers as well.

Both guys are better players than Barrie (if they stay healthy) I think the Nuge is undervalued by people because he was a first over all who has not put up big numbers.

Maybe if Klef was changed to Reinhart, it would be closer, but then the Avalanche add like a 2nd/ 3rd to even it out.

PC said no Nuge to Sakic. Sakic almost took a Pouliot, Yak and 2015 1st for Barrie. But turned it down. There might have been a top 5 protected condition on the pic.
All Barrie talks have been put off until arbitration is done I am told.
