Oilers pass the difference in rnh and gally is not that great. Oilers aren't really improving upfront and they are giving up the better of he two defensive prospects

Edmonton has absolutely 0 desire to trade this young skilled long term signed center for anything less than a deal that nets a #1 Dman. Oilers do not want prospect D as they have lots in the system. They need NHL seasoned D but can't attain them until after the Vegas draft.

Deal would be more realistic by subbing Pouliot for RNH. THAT Edmonton would consider.

Don't forget that Montreal has to lose the next trade between the 2 teams for the Petry favor.

What if Yakupov would have 40 points this season so far? Would you u say that Oilers made them a favor by trading him for a third rounder and Pochiro? Yea you would because it's the same scenario with Petry expect his putting up results and your mad because it's for mtl.

What is this Petry favour you keep talking about? Montreal got him for a 2nd round pick and a conditional 5th (4th if they got to the second round of playoffs) . Petry was an unrestricted free agent. That's a pretty fair payment at the time.
