sbisa + baertschi is worth essentially nothing. you must be a VAN fan. simply being young, and even being a high pick in baertschi's case, doesn't equate to value or production.

IMO no from Van. I agree all those players probably wouldn't get dion as its quantity over quality and the pair of 2nds is nice; however, the 2016 1st from Van could be a top 10 pick maybe even top 5. This trade actually makes our blue line solid with 4 top 4 Dman but Canucks need to keep that pick.

@Shaknar you must understand that Phaneuf is way overvalued by many, and is only slightly better than sbisa (minus the physical attributes)

lol NN21, karlsson is one of the best values in the league. piad nothing for what he brings. he signed it as a rfa, but that's beside the main point of him being a phenomenal player at a price that is way under market value.

also, by the time mcdavid is due, ference, nikitin, purcell, and other significant cap hits I can't think of off the top of my head will be gone. the canadian economy will also likely bounce back by then, which leads to a cap increase due to incresed revenue when transferred to USD.
