1.) I think this is a good trade, except that Chicago takes a serious flyer on a guy who may not re-sign. So I think Ottawa needs to a send a conditional pick to CHI
2.) Dont think hawks would trade Sharp for an expiring contract, I think they would probably want cheaper and younger players to clear cap space

to Toronto for, Nazem Kadri, John-Michael Liles, Nikolai Kulemin, Jerry D'Amigo, 2nd in 2014
1.) I'm a Leaf fan and for the life of me I can't see why the Coyotes deal OEL alone for that.
2.) Not a close value at all. Coyotes get ripped off completly.
3.) I speak for the other 29 teams in the league. NOBODY WANTS John michael-liles
4.) Phoenix is looking for offence, This trade could help both teams.
5.) True but OEL is a
Number 1/2 d man. Likes is a 5/6 with a horrible cap hit. And hanzal, domi > kadri, kulimen

7.) JML is a good player but other fans don't know him that's all. You'd have to have him on your team to understand how he plays, a good puck moving dman is what he is, the Leafs have two already (Gardiner, and Reilly)so he is kind of expendable that's all really, nothing personal to him really. So any team who does end up with JML would get a solid player with good puck skills really.
8.) Max domi won't be traded.
have u ever seen a 1st pick beeing traded less than 3 months since his draft?
9.) OEL isn't a 1st pairing dman yet. He is headed in the right direction very fast though. I wouldn't say all 29 other teams don't want Liles. I think a lot of teams would be glad to have him, however his contract is not the greatest thing going. But a team like the Islanders would most definately considering the lost their captain who happens to be an older and slightly more skilled version of Liles. Hanzal and Kully are very similar players so I see nothing wrong with that part of the deal. And Kadri hasn't proven anything. This is is first time staying in the NHL for an entire season and the season was cut in half. Once he has back to back seasons of putting up similar numbers will I say he is proven. I believe Domi will be a better player than Kadri. I just don't think this is a good deal at all.

It seem that there is talk from a few teams about Dion
1.) I am sure you "heard" this rumor being a Jets fan. TOR would NEVER do this trade they wouldn't even consider it they would just hang up the phone and laugh hysterically at that joke of a hockey organization.
2.) Lol, you better add a first round pick with byfulin and wheeler
3.) What sense does it make to trade Kadri when the Leafs primary weakness is centre? Wheeler is a winger (we have enough) and Buff for Phaneuf is a wash.
4.) This doesn't help the Leafs at all.

Toronto trades Dion Phaneuf, John-Michael Liles, to Colorado for Erik Johnson, Duncan Siemens
1.) Im not going to lie, phaneuf is better than johnson. as a habs fan I give phanuef I hard time but he isn't terrible. I mostly say he's garbage cause I know there will be a reaction from leaf fans. I like to instigate. the trade isn't like its bad, but add from colorado a 2nd and add a 4th from toronto.
2.) A great big HELL NO from Avs POV!
3.) Phaneuf had the most turnovers of all d-men last year. he's good, but not as good as you all think
4.) That's still a pretty bad trade if you look at it from Colorado's perspective. They trade away a good defenseman and one who could turn into an allstar for a guy who will probably walk at the end of the year, and a guy on a terrible contract.
5.) I'm fine with you trying to get a rise out of Leaf fans, but you brainwash the dumb people into thinking he is terrible and worth nothing. Whatever though
6.) Lol to this Av fan and his hell no. Phaneuf and Liles for a never was and a never will be. Lol. I think the hell no belongs to the Leafs. The only fans who overvalue all their players more than Oil fans: Av fans.

Flyers trade Talbot to
Colorado For Downie
1.) Downie is one of a handful of players in the NHL I simply can't stand. He was a jerk when he played for Windsor in the OHL, and he remains a jerk to this day. I wouldn't trade you a bag of pucks for that guy.
I saw he picked a fight in last night's Washington blowout and received a concussion for his efforts. While I don't like to see any player receive such an injury, it does look good on him!
No wonder Colorado got rid of him. He's poison.

3.) Dont mind him but the flyers actually free up cap by getting rid of talbot. if downie doesn't fit, which he wont, he's gone after the season so in the end its a win in a very winless season for the flyers so far.
