No way that's true pensfan; that all chiarelli wants is a late 3rd. Chia needs to lay low after the hall trade. Surprisingly, yak is a fan favorite (everyone here is rooting for him to turn it around) . He gets traded for a used-dull-zamboni blade, there will be blood.

Chiarelli definitely does not want just a 3rd idk what low life article you read. That's completely false. Yak supposedly never asked Chiarelli for a trade, just like Ronny said. He's not going to trade him for the hell of it.

Couple of trades/ signings I weren't mind the penguins making.
Trade #1
Penguins- Chris Kunitz,6th
Avalanche- Blake Comeau
Kunitz is still a decent 2 way player who can play on the 2nd line should fit in well with the Avalanche
Comeau play well with Malkin. he could play on his wing again and he is cheaper then Kunitz
Trade #2
Penguins- 3rd, 5th
Coyotes-Kyle Chipchura, Sergei Plotnikov
I know Plotnikov didn't workout his first time in the NHL but I think he can still become a top 6 or at least bottom 6 player if becomes a decent player he could play with Malkin and Comeau but at first he will be a fourth line player and for Chipchura he could be the Penguins 4th line centre but if Cullen doesn't retire there's no point to trade for Chipchura.

Hawks- Jordan Tootoo
I think that Tootoo could be a good player with the penguins he would be used on the 4th line playing with Chipchura and Plotnikov

Oilers get a young forward who needs a new start and a Dman who can play top 4 minutes plus they get a 2nd
Trade 2
Penguins get comeau back who played good with Malkin he is able to hit and score he could play with Malkin and yakupov plus they will gain some cap space but they lose their 3rd again just because of the age difference and Avalanche taking Kunitz contract
Avalanche get a decent player who could be a 2nd liner he is able to hit and score but if the Avalanche don't want he they could flip him for a 3rd meaning they trade comeau for two 3rd rounders
Trade 3
Penguins get a young forward who could play with Crosby and who is signed till 2019
Hurricanes ( I'm not sure if hurricanes need Dman) but they get a top 4 Dman and an 2nd if they don't need Daley they can trade him and an pick to the oilers for Eberle or RNH

Also no way Penguins sign Okposo or Lucic for that offer. Both could probably expect upwards of 5.5-6mil+ each.

I think maybe the Penguins should think about trading Malkin? . Make this a more balanced team. I don't know who for. but it jus seems like Crosby does better without him. Don't get me wrong. I think Malkin is great, when he's healthy I put him as top 5 in the league maybe top 3. as a Habs fan if lobe to get him, but Habs won't have anything to give up. without giving up the core, which would make the trade pointless for Montreal. Anyway,
Maybe Faulk and Staal heads back?

Yes cowen was just put on waivers but he has a big cap hit so if the pens trade for him the leafs can eat some of his cap.
