Lol. Because of age and contract the Pens probably value Guentzel more than E. Kane right now. Not taking anything away from Kane at all. He will be a great rental, but you give up a 1st and something smaller for rentals. Not a 1st and a guy like Guentzel. Or Sheary and Sprong and 2nd.
Rentals don't bring THAT much. Start with the 1st and add something less than Guentzel, Sheary, Sprong from there.

I don’t think anyone pays that price. Not saying he’s not worth it, just saying I think he has his plan of where he’s going to be next year, whether it’s in NY or not. No one will give away 4 great assets with one extra pick being the condition on signing. Ppl aren’t gutting their team for a rental which he essentially is. All those teams are playoff teams theoretically and they all get worse today and much worse down the road to add one guy for a playoff run?

Holy wow these aren't the best thought out trades.
Florida is looking to add a goalie now with Luongo out for a while. Not treade down essentially. They are possibly adding a Hutchinson type to go WITH Reimer while Luo is out for a while now. That is bad for Florida.
Why would Chi make that deal, that's unreal bad for them.

Second line centres aren't worth a top 5 draft pick. Neither is Hoffman. Yotes would be dumb to trade this years 1st rounder.

Avs need D help; Oilers don't really need more offensive help. Duchene wouldn't fit the Oilers needs. Avs will likely ask for Nurse and Oilers will likely say no.

Giroux for Galchenyuk is attractive from the Flyers perspective but can't see Flyers giving up Giroux. Habs could get younger, more cap-friendly pieces for Galchenyuk.
