a trade here is feasible . STL has about $1M in cap space and EDM has about $3M . Shattenkirk is due for a raise after his contract is up and it seems EDM will have more $$ to work with after this coming season than STL. With limited space for this season EDM will NOT have to give any corner pieces, but mostly prospects and picks. That being said EDM can't afford to take a full $4M contract. Someone will have to go. However, someone cheaper about $2M tops, plus probably a good D prospect (hopefully not Nurse or Reinhart) and most likely a 1st or 2nd rounder in 2016.
I do admire everyone's trade ideas, but in the future please refer to cap space before finalizing an idea.
