Why would u trade your Captain and top pairing defenseman for a guy who is a free agent at the end of the season? He could walk away and u get nothing. Gio is still a very good player, and a great Captain, but 2 - 3 years from now, when his play declines and the Flames are paying him huge money the Flames are going to regret signing him to this contract. Don't get me wrong, I love Gio. He's my favorite player. But decline at his age is inevitable. If they could deal him for something good they really should. Calgary's time is not now, it's in 2-3 years.

Jersey isn't even considering a deal for hall unless Monahan is included. U don't trade a 80 point young former first overall pick for old expensive guys and middling prospects. U know what it would prob take to get hall? Monahan, Kylington, Ferland and Calgary's first rounder. Even then that might not be enough. Jersey stole him from Edmonton. They aren't going to give him up so easy.

I am also a life long Flyers fan, but I got to crush u a little bit here. The Flames are not trading Tkatchuk for anybody not named McDavid. He's been great all year, and is going to be a player. He's going to be better than his dad. As for Hamilton, u don't trade potential number 1 defenseman unless u get something huge back. A fair trade would be Hamilton for Duchesne straight up. Maybe some later picks either way. Their salaries are a wash. A top 3 forward for a top pairing D is fair. Top 2 D are very hard to find. I doubt they would make that deal for just Landeskog. Also, Kylington is their number 1 D prospect. U don't trade guys like that for nothing. He looked like a stud at the world juniors for the swedes. Played huge minutes. He's going to be a player.

This is just stupid. Flames are not trading Tkatchuk for anybody not named McDavid. Do u really believe this or are u just being an ass? If u really think this is a good idea, then u know nothing about hockey. NOTHING.
