Florida gets out of that awful Bob contact and roles with Knight-Hoaltby tandem. Seth Jones provides the Panthers with an elite Dman to compliment Eklblad.

Chicago gets a goalie to platoon with Mrazek and gets a top end young player for taking that contract.

I’d say Florida declines. Jones is almost as bad of a contract as Bob and Lundell is a super skilled player.

Like ChickenFoot points out in another thread below, I don’t think CHI wants a Goalie who will actually stop the puck. That would only hamper their efforts to win the Connor Bedard Draft Lottery + the Bobrovski contact is way too long and will age very badly soon.

The only thing maybe stopping Florida is Jones has an extra I think 4 years. But I think it’s a solid trade and both teams go for it.

I just can’t see it happening from both sides, Jones could bounce back next season so I’d think it wouldn’t be smart to trade him now.
