Toronto receives one of the better defensive defensemen in the league and dump Klingberg which saves themselves about 1.9mil in cap space.

Hmmm, the late 1st is for retaining. to take klingberg would cost Toronto stuff they don't have and a calgary - Toronto trade would have to be for equal money. If Toronto gets tanev at 50%, that's a 1st. To take klingberg leafs would have to add minten and a 3rd just for teams like sj and Chicago would be interested.
