Reports out of SJ is that Joe Thornton has a one way ticket out of town. What would it take for Joe to put a TML uniform on? He is a little slow and getting older but he can provide good leadership so the Maple Leafs make this offer

Thornton maybe, highly likely even. But not Marleau. Both have ntc but Thornton said he will wave his for T. o. i'd think maybe Kadri, Percy~ and rights to Franson for Jumbo joe. Or Possibly even just Phaneuf straight up.

The Leafs don't need these two.
If they trade Kadri, they will end up watching him in the NHL Playoffs do what he never did for the Leafs because they traded him.
And 3 years of Thornton and Marleau is just what the Leafs need right? (Sarcasm)

2 things,
1. If I was Toronto I wouldn't do this. Toronto are still rebuilding, regardless what anyone says. TO made the playoffs once in a shortened season. Still need to improve. You have some good young players. If you trade them away now to get a couple years of competitive hockey. Then you have to start all over again. Be patient, your team is still further along than Edmonton. Lol

2. Such a lop sided trade to Toronto. You are trying to get a near point per game C in Joe Thornton and 30-40 goal scorer in Marleau. Ya they're on the older side but still they are star players in the league and game changers that both can take over a game.

Joe has a NTC so it's entirely up to him whether he moves or not, and all analysts seem to agree that he probably won't. So all you typed you just made up. Why bother?

Apartly this rumors trade is not invented because the San Jose Sharks want to trade both of those players and the runners up are Toronto and Tampa Bay
