One more trade to solidify Top 6:

TB gets: F Evander Kane, 2015 5th
WPG gets: D Eric Brewer, F Brett Connolly, F Richard Panik, 2016 2nd

Brewer is in there to make the cap work, but can also be a mentor for young guys like Trouba or Bogosian
With Buff playing F again, a D won't hurt WPG. They also get 2 former first round picks that are stuck behind TBs loaded offense andhave great potential. Add a 2nd rd pick.

Lol, I swear you SY wouldn't trade either straight up for Kane.
Brewer has 2 good years left and the main part of the deal are Connolly and Panik, 2 future potential top6 players.
I think it's fair.

No way jets go for that deal. Brewer is almost done and connolly hasn't lived up to expectations. T.Bay has to add a better forward. and yzerman would trade johnson or palat staight up for kane

1. Again: Connolly is not a bust. He was injured and then we was or is stuck behind a loaded offense in TB (Stamkos, Callahan, Filps, Palat, Johnson, Kucherov. formerly: MSL and Vinny)
2. No way SY trades for Phaneuf. just no way.
3. Again NO WAY Johnson or Palat would be traded straight up for E Kane. 2 Calder finalists just starting to thrive. Palat is a future Selke finalist/winner

^ you seem to be ignoring Kane's value to Winnipeg. You may think it's fair to trade a bottom pairing d-man and two depth forwards for Kane, but that doesn't mean Winnipeg does. I think they would looking for Johnson or Killorn in a trade. If Tampa won't do it, then go look somewhere else.

Your opinions may just be biased. Kane is very talented and would get a great return despite his attitude. Connolly has not proved anything regardless. Jets should get an established player in this deal.

@TheGR81: Killorn, maybe. Johnson is untouchable.
@rest: Here's a thing: Sure, Kane has good value because he is young and talented. But he does have some attitude problems or at least media makes him have some, which reduces his value. Also, with him obviously wanting out, WPG "has" to trade him because they don't want him to make even more problems.
And again: Connolly and Panik are future top 6/8 guys. They also get a 2nd and Brewer.

Whatsoever, how about:

TB gets: F Evander Kane
WPG gets: D Matt Carle, F Brett Connolly, 2016 2nd

Carle is an established #2-3 defensemen + future top 6 in Connolly + 2nd in 2016

I hate wwhen people say that Connoly is not a bust. HE WAS IN THE MINORS FOR FOUR DANG YEARS! AND YOU SAY HE WAS STUCK BEHIND TAMPAS, LOADED OFFENCE. Yes because last year B.J Crombeen was a guy with loaded offence. Face it, Connoly is a bust

The comparison with Crombeen shows very good how much of an idea of hockey you have: none.
Crombeen is a 4th line player. You don't play talented guys like Connolly on the 4th line, that's a waste. Rather let'em develop in the minors playing 1st line and PP than 4th line in the NHL.
Really bad comparison.

Its just like as I said, I think WPG and Kane are in the same situation, Kesler and VAN were in. The team "has" to trade the player, which lowers the price abit.

WOW! Worst Kane evaluation yet! Yeah we'll trade one of our top young prospects for every player you (or anyone) doesn't want anymore. What a waste of space!
