EDM: Fayne 18% ( 3 mil x 2 years )
2017 1st Round Pick
MIN: Spurgeon ( 5.2 mil x 4 years )
Edmonton positives :
- extra 30-40 points from the back end
- PP quarterback
- sets the top 4 for at least the next 4 years
Minnesota positives :
- frees up 2 mil in cap, very helpful as Minny is close to the max
- opens up a spot in the top-4 for Dumba/ Reilly
- most likely get a top 18 pick in the upcoming draft.

McLarsson did you forget about the expansion draft.

That's a reason why I felt that Minnesota would consider this trade. They will almost definetely lose one of Granlund, Coyle, Niederreiter, Dumba or Spurgeon. So might as well get something for Spurgeon rather than possibly losing him for nothing. As for the Oilers, we would lose Davidson most likely but by than Nurse will be ready to become a legit NHL defender if he isn't already.

As of now they'll either lose Spurgeon/ Dumba or Coyle/ Granlund.

Oilers:
Nugent-Hopkins
Caleb Jones
Bogdan Yakimov
2018 2nd
2017 4th
Columbus:
Boone Jenner
David Savard
Alex Wennberg
Any thoughts?

Stop with the Nuge trades! If he is going to
Get traded a very good RHD is coming back. PC said no Nuge to Colorado and Minny for Barrie and Dumba. What makes you think he would take on Savard in a deal.

Very easy no for Columbus.
3.) 12 Jul 2016 04:21:36
Not bad really maybe switch Wennburge with a lesser Piece like Karrlson or add Yakapov.
4.) 12 Jul 2016 05:26:45
No way from CBJ.

Are there any Columbus fans that can give me any info on whether or not Alexander Wennberg is a big part of the future in their organization?
I was thinking of of a possible trade proposal inlvolving Edmonton and Colombus.
Edmonton: Columbus:
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Boone Jenner
Caleb Jones David Savard
Bogdan Yakimov Alexander Wennberg
2018 2nd
2017 4th
Colombus gets 1st line center to help with the easing in to the NHL of Dubois, defensive prospect to join their great D-corps in 2-3 years (also Seth Jones' brother), 3rd line center as long as he doesn't bolt to Russia, as well as to picks to replace Wennberg and add to their already young growing team.
On the other hand the Oilers (the team that I support) gets a middle-six center to help McJesus and Draisaitl, top 4 puck moving defenceman who I enjoyed watching in the world champioships, as well as a forward prospect for the future to replace Yakuov if he never finds his game.
I know this was long but leave suggestions and what maybe needs to be changed on both sides.

Edmonton isn't trading their forwards.
Expansion draft. I doubt they'll make bold moves.

Got confusing but heres my take;
Nuge is better than Jenner
David Savard is better than the picks and Jones
Wennberg is better than Yakimov
So essentially, its like taking 1 step forward and two steps back for CBJ. They don't have to make this trade - as they can protect all three players which they are trading. And Nuge, despite his No1 overall potential, doesn't seem to be the "boom" future number one center for a team - instead, I see him as a solid number 2, more like a David Krejci (not playing style, but the way he is distributed in lineups)

In the expansion draft I think the Oilers would be fine. They would protect Eberle, Lucic, Jenner, Draisaitl, Sekera, Larsson, Klefbom, Savard.
I don't think this trade will happen but I just thought about a possibility.

Wennberg will be 2/ 3 C for CBJ in the future.

I would be interested in joining.
11 Aug 2016 05:45:10
No from Oilers for sure.
11 Aug 2016 05:24:08
I would rather keep that package as an Oilers fan. Ekblad is one helluva defender, but that package is way too much in my opinion.
09 Aug 2016 20:10:50
Get out of here man. Ever heard of Klefbom?
09 Aug 2016 18:47:35
Calgary respectfully declines.

Minnesota trade is awful.
14 Jul 2016 04:34:57
Are they going to move the multi million dollar arena to Seattle as well?
