If Yzerman comes to his senses about drouins value this might be a good fit, tampa wants to go on a cup run and some playoff experienced rentals might help, I know it may not seem worth it but weise can add some playoff scoring and gilbert some help on the blueline. I think this is worth it, but I might be a delusional habs fan.

Probably not. But that would be two of our better prospects center and dman. Just curious to what you would think is fair at this point. I think Blues would try to make him a center like they did with backes. Does he have any exp at center.

Colt55 Drouin played center in his last year of Junior at Tampas request. As for your trade I like Barbashev but tampa is looking for 1 or 2 players with higher upside as opposed to 3 or 4 players with lower ceilings.

do not get me wrong Hugh staal fan, been saying a missing piece for a cup run, but with price out, if you can not make a sensible trade for both, staal and ward, so at this point you are looking at next year to be a cup contender, even if we make he play off this year, so edmonton is our dance partner draisaitl is the main guy and a yakapov but rnh could if the other piece is eberle, your center are draisaitl galchenkuy eller/ mccarron, and mitchell, and you still have dd and charles hudon, couple of nhler dman .1st this year 2nd next year, plek plus.

I don't think price is out for the season. He wouldn't be working so hard if he was, plus ward and staals salary is roughly 14mill for both. Habs have no where near that cap space. You won't get both unless you move fucale and a dump a few big contracts.

journal lapresse, says price is done for the regular season, and may longer, hugh e staal fan, but if price is out, must look at a long term, next year and after, I think staal will re turn to the huricanes for the fellow season, do not believe anyother team can sign him, and with out nhl goaltender a rental dose not make sense, go habs go.

I know people are wondering why DD is on the wing I think he'd be a good fit there. He's to small for center but i think he has (some) skill for his size, he's fast, but more importantly he's very shifty and creative. I think he could be a marty st. Louis type player ( obviously not as good ) but i think it would help to develop chucky at center playing with a big body ( ladd ) and a shifty playmaker. The habs obviously need to make more changes but for now i think this could be successful.
