With a higher p/ 60 than Voracek Giroux Henrik Sedin etc over that time. stop confusing lack of opportunity with lack of skill. Guy was assisting at the rate of a top line player playing on the 4th line. Counting stats measure opportunity more than what they do with it.

@JBS yeah but we're saying the exact thing about Connolly last but since the trade he's been nothing more than a 3rd liner foe them. Some players just can't handle more minutes and tougher competition which IMO Drouin can't (not saying wouldn't be able to down the road) manage and it seems pretty ludicrous to be calling him a bona-fide top 6 forward when he has done nothing to this point to suggest that he is.

Brodin is already an established stud d man. Why take the chance on Drouin for a sure thing. Dumba makes more sense.

Can't see Calgary making that trade. First, Brian Burke and Brad Treliving want to upgrade the physicality of the Flames. Valeri Nichushkin doesn't fulfill that need. Second, the Flames are already heavy with left-handed talent. Their current roster only features two right-handed shots; Josh Jooris and David Jones. Nichushkin is a left-handed shot. What they really need is a player "like" a Wayne Simmonds to play on the right side of the Sean Monahan/ Johnny Gaudreau; someone to get in front of the net and cause havoc . especially on the power play. Most of the Flames power play activity is done on the perimeter, which accounts for its poor performance. Nichushkin doesn't fit Calgary's needs.

Hudler has struggled with injuries all year and has 5 goals. Hardly worth a top-4 defender in Gudbranson or a 1st.

Jf12 five goals but 20+ points i think. don't forget that he's had a groin issue all year which makes it tough to get back in a groove when u return from injury. bcuz it gets re aggravated. Also, he was 7th in scoring last year. The czech connection with jagr. and plus itll rid u of the mistake of taking gudbranson before ryjo, fowler. and basiclly 15 other players in that draft.

I feel like both players aren't apart of each others long term plans. Boedker will want to be on a contending team in his prime, while Hudler has proven to be a great mentor for young players. Boedker is younger so I feel Calgary need to add.

Trouba wants to much for a budget team. Hamonic wants to be closer to home. Draft pick is that Trouba has more upside and higher ceiling.

CBJ: Johanssen
NSH: 1st,2nd, Fiala and Ekholm

I think Fiala is going to be a great player, not as good as Johanssen thought. This is the only way I can see Nashville trying to keep all 3 of their main Dmen.

MTL: 1st, Eller
CAR: E. Staal, 4th

Montreal will need an experienced center for their run. They don't have one yet. I think he can play a lot better in a new environment. Eller will be a solid 2nd center in Carolina's rebuild.

You will have to add more then a 4th to get Trouba, Isn't Hudler a UFA he won't resign with ARI so pointless for them and Montreal might need to add an ok prospect to that but then its not bad. Merry Christmas!

Detroit doesn't need Smid. Howard won't be moved until this off-season. Howard would be the #1 goalie on Calgary so it probably will cost more than your offering despite his contract.

Howard>Ramo>Ortio>Hiller

So it will take more to get him, Detroit is going to wait until off-season where moving him becomes easier.
