what would you guys think the habs would have to give away for a guy like TAVARES(nyi) or a guy like HALL (edm), considering habs keep Price.
i would go like this:
Habs: Tavares
NYI: Pacioretty, Subban 1st. /or/ Gallagher, Tinordi, Ellis, 1st
or
Habs : Hall
EDM: Plekanec, tinordi(or beaulieu), 2nd

the tavares one, however, is an overpayment with paccy + subban + 1st. the other one involving gallagher gets the same reaction as the hall trade.
2.) Tavares is a once in a lifetime player. The isles will not trade him
3.) Every trade for Tavares will be an overpayment bc he's a star C under the age of 25 with a reasonable cap hit.
4.) NYI : subban gallagher 1st
MTL: Tavares
yeah I didn't put too much toughts in that Hall one ahaha.
EDM: Subban, eller 2nd(or prospect)
MTL: Hall
if I were Edm I would take it
not sure about nyi though
5.) I would never in my life trade Montreals 2 best players and a first round pick
6.) Trade subban to the leafs if you under value him that much. Tavares is elite but Subban is one of my favourite all around Dmen. That's coming from a leaf fan. I think Subban and a 1st is more than enough. But why not just take a 1st and Phaneuf from the leafs for subban ;)
7.) Tavares proposals should be banned from this site. I'm an oilers fan but admit 100% that there is a better shot at getting Hall than there is Tavares, and even the Hall proposals would be shot down in a second. Tavares would basically cost you 2/3s of your 1st line, 2 A-prospects, and at least one 1st round pick. Basically, no team would give up what is necessary to get him.
8.) No sense talking Tavares. Not going anywhere.
No way the Habs trade Subban.
If they did why wouldn't a Norris Trophy winner be enough for a player that has proven nothing?
9.) Sub ban is not getting traded. Period.
10.) Subban isn't getting traded, and Tavares is even less-likely to be traded. As in: NOT BEING TRADED. AT ALL.

I wish the trade would happen but I think it's more likely they trade Budaj and Montreal gives them a prospect like Hudon or Pateryn
2.) That is not nearly enough for Kane, a 3rd line center and backup goalie and a 2nd won't work

Throw in a prospect D from MTL. beaulieu or tinordi and you are getting closer. I would love Johansen with the habs but he's worth more than two 3rd line center.

I think Eller makes or breaks it this season. great potential to be a complete two-way forward in this league
Price is going nowhere neither is kopitar. doughty. nor probably toffoli
I think the idea is fun to think, definitely impossible. but still fun to think. a team to throw out all their ''top'' players for picks. its a huge gamble. could payoff but this isn't NHL14.
Eller plays the 3rd in montreal but he's on the 2nd for the oilers.

Wow if they both have bad seasons, BUF might draft 2 guys in 5 first picks or so. adding to this year's draft that's a solid lineup coming up for them sabres I think
The thing is if they would actually pull a move like trying to finish last in the league, the draft lottery could still put them for the 2nd overall, wich would still be great don't get me wrong, but not Mcdavid and you would lose a lot of respect I think as a GM and as an organisation
