Only thing I like about this is reuniting Drouin and Mackinnon.

2.) 17 Jun 2016 04:11:39
The trade is one sided for Colorado, duchene is a great player but after his playoff run drouin looks pretty good too. Take out either deangelo or the first rounder.

Tampa Bay:
Steven Stamkos (Signed for 8 years)
Braydon Coburn (3.7M per for 3 years)

Dennis Wideman (5.25M per for 1 year)
Mason Raymond (3.15M per for 1 year)

1.) 02 Jun 2016 17:48:28
This is so so bad if this is suppose to be a trade.

2.) 02 Jun 2016 18:25:39
Kind of like all of those Oilers proposals for RHD. ;)

3.) 02 Jun 2016 18:53:51
No. Not as bad as this one hahaha.

4.) 02 Jun 2016 19:35:40
Hahaha. This was just for fun. Just hoping we do a sign and trade, which I know is unheard of.

5.) 02 Jun 2016 20:08:36
Have you ever played be a gm mode? If you sign and trade guys, then they don't want to sign with you.

6.) 02 Jun 2016 20:57:28
Stamkos > Monahan
Coburn > Wideman
1st > Raymond

Or am I just crazy here? Also don't think they'd even sign and trade Stamkos, I'm sure he'll get a no move clause.

7.) 02 Jun 2016 22:21:35
I'd trade condon, markov and galchenyuk for Stamkos great trade for both teams lightning get a starting goalie top defender and good young playar, Habs get superster.

8.) 12 Jun 2016 22:58:44
First off Stamkos is in a different league than Monahan at the moment. Gaudreau would be a closer fit. Stamkos by himself is worth way more than what you've offered for him from Calgary. Wideman. Done Raymond. Done this isn't an offer its an attempted garbage dump for one of the elite players in the league.

27 May 2016 19:25:36
Tampa Bay:
1st Rd. Pick 2016
Nikita Nesterov
Erik Condra

NYR:
Derick Brassard.

Lightning813

1.) 27 May 2016 20:00:12
are you out of your mind?!

2.) 27 May 2016 20:08:07
Of course I am. What else would we add?

3.) 27 May 2016 20:17:09
Derick Brassard can fetch a top 10 pick imo.

And what NYR are getting is a late 1st rounder.
A depth defenceman
and a depth forward.

lol what?

4.) 27 May 2016 20:43:10
Okay then. What about:

Tampa Bay:
1st Rd. Pick 2016
2nd Rd. Pick 2016
Vladislav Namestnikov

NYR:
Derick Brassard
Depth Prospect?

5.) 27 May 2016 22:39:43
Im not sure I'd give up Namestnikov in a deal for Brassard. Not with a first and second. He's being overrated on here.

6.) 27 May 2016 22:39:43

27 May 2016 17:34:48
Tampa Bay:
Matt Carle
J. T. Brown
4th Rd. Pick 2016

Arizona:
7th Rd. Pick 2016
Prospect (for AHL depth)

Lightning813

1.) 27 May 2016 19:51:19
If Matt Carle is traded, Tampa will 100% retain some salary.

2.) 27 May 2016 20:22:44
I agree Tampa will have to retain on Carle. But I don't like the idea of giving up someone like Brown to do it.

20 Feb 2016 18:10:57
Tampa Bay:
Jonathan Drouin (1 yr. left to RFA)
Alex Killorn (RFA)
Braydon Coburn (UFA)
2016 1st Rd. Pick
2016 2nd Rd. Pick

Anaheim:
Hampus Lindholm (RFA)
Anton Khudobin (Dump - UFA)
2016 3rd Rd. Pick

The Lightning solidify their D, but take a slight hit to their F depth and draft picks.

The Ducks get more flexibility to balance their budget, more depth at wing, and a veteran D so they can still have a solid playoff run.

Lightning813

1.) 21 Feb 2016 00:02:09
I don't see why Tampa does it I be honest. I think they give up too much and don't actually get better this year. Doesn't help their D corps depth which is the biggest issue Lindholm takes Coburn spot but still relying on Nesterov/ Sustr/ Carle for consistent minutes. They also lose forward depth in Killorn prospect depth in Drouin and picks. I think they give up too much in all honesty.

As playoff chances dwindle for the Lightning, they should look to next year. The Kings are still in it, and could use some extra offensive threat.

TBL:
Ondrej Palat
Slater Koekkoek

LAK:
Jake Muzzin
Teddy Purcell
Rob Scuderi
Conditional 2017 2nd (becomes 1st if LAK make WCF)

The Kings get a seemingly perfect LW for their system, and possibly one of the best two-way lines in the league with the Kopitar-Palat duo. They also get a good, young RFA LHD that they can extend cheap.

The Lightning get an anchor for their second pairing for at least the next 3 years, and a conditional 2nd that can become a first. They also take on the buried contracts of Purcell and Scuderi to make the cap work.

Lightning813

1.) 21 Jan 2017 06:34:07
Uhh Muzzin alone is worth more then Palat and Koekkoek imo

2.) 23 Jan 2017 04:51:38
Lighting should trade off Fippula, Bishop, and any other upcoming UFA s, overpriced, under achievers, they should get a young goalies too because young Russian they have will need help.

Wanted to take a look at a trade now about a year and a half later.

WSH trades: Filip Forsberg

NSH trades: Martin Erat, Michael Latta

Still shaking my head.

What does everyone think?

Lightning813

1.) Washington won that trade BIG time

2.) I could start crying. Worst trade over the last 2 years.

3.) Yep almost as bad as the Gomez/Mcdonagh trade.

4.) Context is everything. They didn't trade 2014 Martin Erat (no longer with the team) for 2014 Filip Forsberg (top of the NHL in scoring). They traded 2013 Filip Forsberg (no NHL experience) for 2013 Martin Erat (less than a year removed from scoring 58 pts).

Which in no way gets Washington off the hook, it was a terrible trade.

5.) 02 Dec 2014 22:33:38
bad at the time, but it would have made a little sense if WSH at least went deep into the playoffs with erat being a decent contributor, but he did nothing and now its going to go down as one of the worst this decade.

Tampa Bay Lightning

I would like to see Matt Carle traded at some point. It doesn't look likely to be this off-season, but who knows. He should bounce back this year, but I still don't think the Bolts will be able to justify his $5.5m aav. Maybe something reasonable like:

TB: Matt Carle (salary retained if the pick/prospect is higher quality)

Anyone (he is willing to go to/is willing to take him): Pick or Prospect

I don't hate Matt Carle, but in my opinion, his contract needs to go to free up some space for some re-signings in the not-so-distant future.

Lightning813

1.) 25 Jul 2014 19:44:06
So true

2.) If Carle's contract wasn't so high, I'd say trade Markov or Emelin+ for him

26 Jun 2014 00:29:28
The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward J.T. Brown to a 2-year contract with an average annual value of $950k.

Lightning813

1.) Love it

Regarding the talks between the Lightning and the Blackhawks:

Sounds like Chicago is prioritizing improvement of their depth at center. From reading some comments on blogs, a lot of Blackhawks fans want to believe that Tyler Johnson is the player of interest (not happening), and some trolls even want to mention Stamkos (that's always a good laugh). A very plausible one that I saw mentioned was Filppula (not that I want it to happen).

I say our untouchables at forward are: Stamkos, Johnson, Palat, and Drouin. Having said that, the only forward possibilities I see the Blackhawks seriously inquiring about are Filppula, Killorn, and Purcell.

Who do you all think the Lightning-Player-of-Interest-who-has-yet-to-be-Figured-Out is?

Lightning813

1.) Purcell. he's proven he can be a strong scorer and could use a change. Just wait and see, it'll be Purcell for Leddy.

2.) Could u give me the source? I'm really interested!
I'd hate to see Johnson go, can't imagine he geta trade dright after signing a new contract.

I love Purcell, but with his contract. move him if possible.
Killorn is good, but we got good depth at C/F, so if he fetches a good return, that's okay.
The untouchables are correct, I'd add Erne to that list. And maybe Kucherov.

The player TB would be targeting is most likely Seabrook or Leddy. Definitely (at least I hope so) a D men. that's what we need most.

Killorn, NYR 2014 1st, TB 2015 2nd
for
Seabrook

(CHI needs the Cap relief to resign JT and PK next year)

I know Anaheim has a glut of D, but what if they can dump Stoner somewhere? Maybe something like Kucherov + Nesterov for Lindholm + Rakell? Tampa would have to move a contract on their end too. It would be a cool trade to see happen. I would cry about losing Kucherov, and then I would remember Lindholm is coming back and be happy again.

I love Kucherov, but imagining Hedman as our first pair anchor with Lindholm as our second pair anchor, has me like O_O. That would be something to behold for the next decade, as will Stamkos-Drouin, if Drouin can be Marty 2.0.

Hedman - X
Lindholm - X.

That is terrible for the Lightning. And what source? Lmao. For that package, try adding Honka as the prospect and a 2017 1st at minimum.

I agreed with what you said (I will quote you): "I think the one that got them going was he wanted rielly Jvr and a first for a goalie that never played a game in the nhl. "

Then I added my own opinion about Vasilevskii, saying he is an A+ prospect.

Lightning813

Yeah, Hab, I think that might be the one that did it. Surely they did not appreciate that lol. But, Vaslevskii is a seriously A+ prospect.

So relieved we have them both signed now (not that I had any doubt that we would eventually). Now on to Killorn and Sustr for certain I would think?
