St. Louis: Barbashev

1.) 14 Mar 2022 23:03:15
MTL would likely take that, but I'd send Sundqvist and a Top Pick or Prospect for Chiarot 25-50% retained instead if I were STL.

2.) 15 Mar 2022 16:27:53
I would be surprised if STL moved Barbashev. He's a good player, but at 26 I'm thinking they'd still prefer a 1st and a good prospect. Its a seller's market for D like Chiarot.

3.) 15 Mar 2022 17:19:48
Josh Manson brought the Equivalent of Two 2nds with 50% Retained.

Aren't Manson and Chiarot valued about the same!?

Like @MoxNix says, MTL can ask for the Moon, but we'll see what the Market actually pays.

I wouldn't Trade Barbashev if I were STL though.

Mtl:Drouin,Lehkonen, 2rd2022

1.) 29 Sep 2021 07:13:46
Let's just see what Drouin can do.

2.) 03 Oct 2021 12:05:41
Too much for strome.

28 Sep 2021 23:31:10

Ottawa: Pinto,3rd2022

1.) 29 Sep 2021 00:47:52
Easy no from Ottawa IMO.

2.) 29 Sep 2021 07:00:46
Voracek is a Columbus Blue Jacket but good on Philly if they can trade a player from another team.

3.) 29 Sep 2021 07:15:05
Seeing as Voracek is a Blue Jacket, this wouldn't work . wouldn't if was Flyer either.

19 Aug 2021 20:29:42
Mtl: Romanov

Calgary:Monahan@50 retain

1.) 20 Aug 2021 00:06:01
Calgary wouldn’t be retaining.

2.) 20 Aug 2021 03:40:38
That's an interesting proposal.

If Treliving *really wants to move Monahan it might get him talking but 50% retained isn't happening.

I'd still rather get Anderson from the Canadians. Toffoli would work too but I assume Bergeron won't trade him after the chemistry he showed with Suzuki and Caufield. For either one Calgary should be willing to retain some of Monahan's salary but again not 50%.

3.) 20 Aug 2021 08:36:55
Romanov is not up for trade.

4.) 20 Aug 2021 14:32:05
You don't need to worry about retaining because habs aren't trading Romanov.

5.) 21 Aug 2021 12:42:30
Probably no for both, Habs are so high on Romanov and Suzuki that they are not even adding them for Eichel. Calgary says no because they would be looking for another C in a Monahan trade.

12 Aug 2021 22:01:07
Toronto: Reilly

Flo: Lundell

1 for 1

1.) 13 Aug 2021 22:14:15
Florida is not giving one of their better prospects for a rental. You get picks/ prospects as a return but not their Top 3 best like Lundell would be.

Ok here are my thoughts so far in 2021 free agency. Montreal has improved the team compared to yesterday but still missing a solid top 2 LHD. Chiarot and Edmundson are great as number 4 and 5. Savard will be number 3 and Petry number 1. Moving on, Edmonton did terrible imo. Cody Ceci at 3 million is ridiculous. He's a mediocre bottom pairing defensemen. You can sign a guy like him for 950k for a year like Montreal did in Wideman. Ottawa must be piss to see Hoffman back. I think he has at least 3 more decent seasons in him since he was a late bloomer and dosnt have a ton of milleage for a 31 year old winger. I'm hoping for 25 goals and 50 points in a full season. Cedrick Paquette is a good addition with Danault gone. Solid contract he got in Vegas, happy Montreal did not do it tho. He's just worth 5.5 million now but I think in 2 years he's a 4 million center getting 30 points a year while being elite defensively. So far that's all I have lol

1.) 29 Jul 2021 15:20:53
Im not all that excited with what Montreal has done. I don't see Savard as a better Dman than Chariot or Edmonson, however I don't hate the deal. I don't much care for the Hoffman deal, sure, he may score a few PP goals, but the rest of his game is lazy. His style doesn't mesh with this group ( IMO) . Paquette, meh, would rather see Poehling given a shot as a 4th line Ctr
I'm not really sure what I was hoping for from UFA, but it was hard to see Danault go. Also, will be horrible if Perry isn't brought back. i'd rather 2 years of Perry than, what is it? 4 years of Hoffman, maybe ill change my mind once I see Hoffman play with this team, but, for now, not a big fan.

I have just made a amical bet that Montreal is winning the cup before Leafs win a playoff round. I am 100% confident I am winning this bet as soon as this year. It's Montreal's cup to loose!

1.) 12 Jun 2021 12:43:20
I like your confidence in the Habs!
However, there are 3 other really good teams that will also have a say in how this all works out.

2.) 12 Jun 2021 15:24:05
Vegas made a laughing stock out on f Vegas’s choice to win.

3.) 12 Jun 2021 20:55:05
It definitely won’t be easy Sosa, but these guys seem to want it more then those other 3 teams tho. If Montreal wins the Vegas round, I think it’s settle.

08 Jun 2021 03:25:35
Memarcusjoe, what did you think of game 4 for your Jets. Are you satisfied with the play of your team as they were facing elimination? I thought they played better tonight but still lacked some willingness to get in front of the net. The credit should be given to Montreal for making it hard and painful to get there tho.

1.) 08 Jun 2021 03:48:56
Montreal played a really good series just like they did in the last half of the Toronto series and deserve the credit for sticking to a good game plan.

Effort wise, the Jets threw in the towel after the Scheifele suspension and just decided not to put in any effort to try and break Montreal's system. I don't mind losing when they give it their all and are just outplayed, but games like this where they don't want to compete are disappointing, especially when it is 3 in a row.

2.) 08 Jun 2021 12:55:27
Did Maurice give a reason why he and the coaching staff didn’t shake hands with the players at the end of the game? It doesn’t matter of course but just wondering.

3.) 08 Jun 2021 13:16:42
I haven't heard anything on that yet.

01 Jun 2021 13:06:03
I would like to thank Rasmus Sandin and Austin Matthews for the Montreal's series massive win! They are big reasons for the end results. Thanks!

08 Apr 2021 02:48:41
After watching tonight game, I think we can all agree Montreal only really dominated the second period and was mediocre most of the first and second period. Allen played very well and is not to blame at all. Jack Campbell is better then I thought and Galchenyuk was invisible for most of the game like in Montreal. I don't think Montreal sucked tonight, they for sure can do better on power plays tho. Go Habs Go!

1.) 08 Apr 2021 04:34:27
I actually thought Galchenyuk looked dangerous at times.
Habs aalways seem to play slower when they play the Leafs. I don't know what it is. maybe over cautious?
Oh well, maybe next time.

2.) 08 Apr 2021 05:43:57
Galchenyuk played good, but again, whatever makes you feel better.

3.) 08 Apr 2021 05:56:04
Galchenyuk made a few flashy moves but nothing showed up on the score sheet so yeah pretty much like he was when he was with Montreal. a fluke goal by Toronto again was the difference. Overall for a Habs leafs game it was a total bore fest. Montreal didn’t play physical enough to win. I guess they were nervous after that early 5 on 3 pp Toronto was given.

4.) 08 Apr 2021 14:31:36
High danger chances at 5v5 were 14-5 for the leafs last night so fluke goal or not that’s not very competitive.

5.) 08 Apr 2021 17:36:58
6 of them came on the 5 on 3 power play they seem to get every game.

6.) 08 Apr 2021 19:12:38
For some reason I doubt that 6 of Toronto’s 14 five on five high danger chances came on a 5 on 3 but if you have problems with how many power plays the leafs got maybe the habs should sign some more players who can keep up with their speed instead of focusing on “not playing physical enough to win” lollllll.

7.) 08 Apr 2021 19:22:44
Why so bitter habby? It’s just a game.

8.) 08 Apr 2021 22:31:50
I just had to get the 5 on 3 power play they get every time in there lol. usually it’s late in 3rd period though.

9.) 09 Apr 2021 05:48:08
I didn’t realize the leafs get so many 5 on 3 power plays. This site is going to get ugly come playoff time, lol.

I wouldn’t do it if I’m the Leafs. Josi is good and the trade would be faire if he was 30 years old.

To me, Montembeault will be a goat. A goalie with his heart and passion for the game combined with his skills and ability to learn makes me hopeful in the future in the goalie department.

I can not stand William Nylander, however he’s a top 10 winger in the game and that is not debatable. He’s worth at least 3/ 4 of Owen Power’s worth.

As a Habs fan I believe this trade is not overly inclined in one direction. Could be worst, Leafs may need a better sweetener then Robertson 2 get Pow or a pick on top.

Holly you would think Mtl would be getting Trevor Zegras for the amount of value going to Anaheim. Comptois might get Gallagher straight up. Gally still has value based on his intangibles and his style of play. Lots of gm would give a 3 rd pick for him with no retention. That’s about how much si value Comptois at this point a second to third round pick,

I know I am Toronto17. I do think I’m realistic tho. I have said at the beginning of the year that this was Montreal cup to loose this year. Everybody on this site called me exactly what you just called me. Now there is 4 teams left and altough we still have the hardest second half to accomplish, my comment has aged well hasn’t it? Good on Toronto for winning 3 games, but anyone who actually knows about playoff hockey could of told you Montreal was going to come back. There is just a handful of teams in this league willing to pay the price. So yes I am biased but at least it’s for a team that still has a solid chance of winning it all this year!

Im not sure about his value to be honest. He wasn’t great against Montreal defensively. I’m assuming he’s still worth a late first + B prospect as a rental.

Im going to be called a biased homer for this comment. If Montreal keeps playing the way they are playing and stick to the system while adapting if necessary, they can compete with Tampa.

Leafs didn’t choke, Montreal came to play hockey that's the difference.
