Kings add for playoff run and get a very good duo of wingers. They also don't lose anything from their NHL roster. They have a glut of prospects and could easily make this happen.

There will be other teams lining up to help out the Leafs with their cap situations, whether it be retaining money, trading them ltir contracts, or even just trading them some available capspace.

Understood, I'd just like that included in the proposal and if Muzzin is down, who will replace him and are we assuming he'll be on the LTIR for the rest of the Season OR will he be back in time for the Playoffs?
Otherwise the priority should probably be finding a replacement LD, but I definitely get trading for Cap Relief via taking on a guy like Kesler from ANA or Boychuk from BUF IF the Team has room to add contracts. TOR currently has 47/ 50 Contracts on the books, so only have room for 3 more or 2 after taking on a LTIR contract.

There is no chance the Canucks go for this. Miller alone should get better quality returns. Then you throw in Pearson (who is having a very good year)? No chance.
These guys would be a huge help for the Flames and the playoffs but there's no chance this deal gets it done. It'll cost the Flames their top 3-4 top prospects plus a 1st or some combo of that ilk.

Reasonable trade but I think VAN wants a D. I think Schneider would be needed in the package and NYR is reluctant to do that. Probably why this hasn't happened yet. I have a feeling something like this will go down on deadline day or just before if the Canucks stumble in the next 10 days or so.

There is no chance the Canucks do this. Nylander is too expensive and small. Leaves 1st will be late and the rest of the players are middling NHLers. Nothing worth dealing for here. I wouldn't trade Miller alone for that pile and then you add in Garland? Dream on.
