- Kane would be a little trickier where he has a NMC, and two years left on a bigger salary.
- Kane probably doesn’t want to go to a rebuilding team like MTL.
- With his reputation, Kane will also be a more challenging player to get other teams interested. MTL has a lot of young players and may not want that kind of influence and conflict in their room.

You're not going to be able to dump Anderson and Dvorak without paying to do so and it won't be to Winnipeg.
Puck Pedia's dump calculator puts dumping Anderson at the 13 OA pick and Dvorak at 35 OA. So, keep adding you don't have enough to dump either.

The Jets have enough bottom pairing d-men and 4/ 5th line forwards of their own. The Jets would want less poor offered quantity of players and would want one top level player for Ehlers and McG.

This trade in particular looks more like a MTL salary dump. With Dvorak and Anderson included.
Maybe do a Barron & Beck for McGoarty.

Need more grit. Team looks good on paper, but not enough sandpaper. Really don't like that 2nd line. Love the 1st and 3rd. With Demidov, i don't see the need to any $8 million forwards. A top 6 of 1st line, then Dach, Newhook, Roy and Demidov ( well that's 7) looks like a really good top 6. Round out your role players, and grinders, this team will make noise soon. Just stay the course.
I know Demidov is not on roster in 24/ 25 season.

Demidov is a year away from being able to play. I feel Carolina can get a better return for Necas. And you could probably get Laine for one of the defensive prospects in the the Hans system and a draft pick. Anderson is overpaid for sure, but he's also willing to throw the gloves down in a heartbeat and for a young team like the Habs that's invaluable.

MTL respectfully declines.
- Askarov is a highly rated prospect, but Glass hasn't distinguished himself yet.
- As a rebuilding team MTL is unlikely to have invested draft capital in goalies last year and then block a developmental path for them this year by adding Askarov.
- If MTL trades 4 pieces it will be for a top-end forward.
- Anderson is currently a cap dump, who will have trade value in 3 years when he's a pending UFA with MTL retaining salary to move him. Nonetheless, I like the player, and given where MTL is in their rebuild, I prefer to keep him.

I can't really see MTL doing this either. Glass is already 25, not worth all that much and is a dime a plenty on the MTL roster. Askarov sounds great, but the need isn't really there, especially for a 1st.

SOSA: full respect to Askarov, and since I stink at projecting Goalies, I can’t begin to say whether Fowler or someone else will emerge as the goalie of the future. I think they have some interesting choices in-house, but I truly have no idea.
Anderson was in there, and while I am realistic about what he is after last year, I still like him?.

I'm with you Chickenfoot, on Anderson. He can be frustrating haha, and I can't see a year like last one for him. He also doesn't need to score goals and points to be a difference maker.

If Saros is resigning that's telling me either they think Askarov is still a few years away or they are prepared to unload him for some immediate help in another area.
I have watched a few of Fowler's games after hearing Biz and Whit talking about him and he's everything you could want in a goalie prospect; just a matter of when he gets to the league.

Habs apparently want Beckett Sennecke at #5 which is crazy, Demidov should be their selection if he’s available. If they want Sennecke why not just trade down and grab some assets?
