While IMO Suzuki is better than Thomas, the gap is pretty narrow. Thomas had an awful start to the year battling through injuries but ended the year on a heater scoring 2 hattys in 10 games.

I’m a Leafs fan and I acknowledge that Thomas does have more value then Knies and should return a better package.

I highly doubt Blues move Thomas; there was obviously smoke last year but there isn’t anymore.

If he hits the block Montreal has the assets to make this this trade and they absolutely should.

IMO Hage, 1 of Rienbacher or Pickford and 2 of (1sts 2026, 2027, 2028 or Zharkovsky) is what it would take.

This point is moot tho because Saint Louis has no reason to trade a 26 year old 1C signed to a beautiful contract.

Lindholm hasn’t gotten 50 points with Boston yet. And yes, they’d be selling high on Swayman, while Edmonton is selling low on Jarry, but I feel like Boston can make an average goalie look good. The goal isn’t for Boston to get better after this trade. Also, it's common to see players moved after bad negotiations/hold outs.

I believe there is too much drama surrounding McKenna and could be a problem in the room when it matters. I would rather go with a guy like Stenberg if I were the Sedins. He is a better 5 vs 5 player and the stats tend to say that.

Guhle's durability has a lot to be desired. Kapanen had a pretty good year, but I am unsure if he will be able to duplicate it again. And I just honestly haven't watched enough of Beck to know what is worth is at.

Knies brings physicality, a strong net front presence, and is signed to a pretty gpod contract.

I would rather hold onto that and see what happens with the draft, FA, and with a few of our AHLers needing genuine looks at the NHL level to see where we are at.

Eklund is going to be a great player in his own right, there just isn't an urgency yet for the Blues to move Kyrou or Thomas for that matter. They set the asking price high for both of them and likely won't budge off of that price until they have to.

The Blues aren't hard pressed for cap space and can only hope that Kyrou has a rebound year to increase his value.
